Microwave stripline resonators of rectangular and double rectangular shapesfor non-invasive sensing have been designed and investigated experimentallyand numerically. The resonator of single rectangular shape has had a resonanceat about 4.32GHzfor S21and the resonator of double rectangular shape has hadresonances at about 3.5GHzfor S21and 5.85GHzfor S11. The simulationresults for the sensitivity of the single rectangular and double rectangularresonatorswere−0.023dB/(mg/dL)(glucoseconcentration)and0.0143dB/(mg/dL)(NaCl concentration), respectively. The electromagneticfield distribution of the resonators was visualized and compared using computersimulation software HFSS. The obtained data have shown the accuracy ofresonators as a non-invasive sensor for biophysical applications.
