The Convergence Acceleration of Two-DimensionalFourier Interpolation Anry Nersessian
Hereby, the convergence acceleration of two-dimensional trigonometric inter-polation for a smooth functions on a uniform mesh is considered. Together with theoreticalestimates some numerical results are presented and discussed that reveal the potential ofthis method for application in image processing. Experiments show that suggested al-gorithm allows acceleration of conventional Fourier interpolation even for sparse meshesthat can lead to an efficient image compression/decompression algorithms and also toapplications in image zooming procedures.
