Abstract

The article considers the results of the studies conducted on the ecological and toxicological state of the waters in the Sotk and Masrik rivers under the influence of the Sotk mine exploitation. Upon the investigations it has been disclosed that along with the increase of the mining industry dimensions, as well as rock dump amounts, the organoleptic and chemical indices of the waters in the Sotk and Masrik rivers have also grown up. Due to heavy metals the amount of suspended particles per liter of water has increased over the last 10 years. Taking into account that individual heavy metals (tungsten, vanadium, molybdenum, etc.) are more active in the base medium, it is necessary to install filters for their refining.
